NASDAQ chief: Another economic casualty

‘Not stupid’

So Bob Greifeld, how’d your portfolio do in 2008? “Not that well,” the Nasdaq chief economic officer acknowledged at the National Press Club on Thursday. “I have a fair investment in [Nasdaq]. We didn’t have the best of years in terms of our stock price.”

More Greifeld:

On the economy: “I remain relatively optimistic. I’m a CEO so I have to be.”

On CEOs: “CEOs are not stupid and not all are greedy.”

On the Bernie Madoff scandal: “Villains driven by greed will always be among us. The key is to find them.”

On U.S. automakers: “Three is too many.”
