Bernie Sanders’ campaign is still suing the Democratic National Committee for $75,000 over access to its voter files, serving the party with papers on Thursday to keep the lawsuit going.
The campaign first filed against the DNC in December 2015 after the party shut off its access to shared voter data following the discovery that a Sanders aide had accessed data belonging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
The new filing explains that in the months since the first lawsuit the DNC and the campaign have continued “to engage in cooperative discussions in their efforts to resolve the pending litigation.”
The lawsuit was filed on Thursday, the deadline a U.S district judge gave the campaign. Although the Sanders campaign and the DNC are no longer visibly feuding, they await the result of an independent audit and the filing is reportedly “procedural.”
