Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton says she hasn’t been in “many” drinking competitions, but said she did get involved in one when she was a senator, against Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
In a short video released by her campaign Thursday, Clinton said she and McCain were traveling together on a congressional delegation, when McCain threw down the gauntlet.
“He kind of challenged me,” she said. “We have our political differences, but we sat there drinking vodka, until we both, I think, agreed to withdraw in honorable fashion, having, I think, reached the limits that either of us should have had.”
“I consider it a tie,” she said, laughing about the tale.
