Rosie O’Donnell’s ongoing public feud with Donald Trump may be reignited again after the actress and comedian’s blunt comments Wednesday about the billionaire mogul’s presidential campaign.
“It’s a nightmare,” O’Donnell told the Associated Press. She wouldn’t elaborate except for simply stating, “That’s my quote.”
Trump and O’Donnell’s mutual disdain for each other can be traced back to 2006, when Trump, who currently leads the Washington Examiner‘s presidential power rankings, was still a co-owner of the Miss USA pageant. O’Donnell, at the time a co-host on “The View,” criticized Trump for judging the behavior of Miss USA winner Tara Connor after allegations over her drug use, underage drinking and sexual activities.
O’Donnell got personal, slamming Trump’s marriage history and calling his character into question.
“[He] left the first wife — had an affair,” she said. “[He] had kids both times, but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend.”
Trump fired back soon after in an interview with People magazine.
“You can’t make false statements,” he said. “Rosie will rue the words she said. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements — and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.”
O’Donnell confirmed to the Washington Examiner via Twitter that Trump never filed a lawsuit against her.
“[H]e never sued me … as [I] told the truth,” she said. “[B]ankrupt is a word he doesn’t like — but a business plan he uses a lot.”
In December 2011, Trump took an unprovoked shot at O’Donnell via Twitter after she announced her engagement to Michelle Rounds, calling his nemesis a “true loser.”
I feel sorry for Rosie ‘s new partner in love whose parents are devastated at the thought of their daughter being with @Rosie–a true loser.

O’Donnell responded by tweeting, “wow u r an ass.”
O’Donnell and Rounds split in February 2015, and O’Donnell filed for divorce two weeks after exiting “The View.”
Trump took another random swipe at O’Donnell in May 2012, this time roping in singer Cher after she criticized then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
.@Cher attacked @MittRomney. She is an average talent who is out of touch with reality. Like @Rosie O’Donnell, a total loser!

The two briefly reconciled via Twitter in August 2012 after O’Donnell suffered a heart attack. Trump’s kind words took O’Donnell completely by surprise.
@realDonaldTrump @Rosie – well thank u donald –
i must admit ur post was a bit of a shock …
r u trying to kill me ?
xx

When O’Donnell announced her return to “The View” in July 2014, Trump responded with vitriol, calling the move a “standard short term fix and long term disaster” and reiterating his thoughts on his rival: “Rosie is crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb — other than that I like her very much!”
In September 2014, O’Donnell opened up about Trump’s accusations that she fat-shamed her “View” co-host Star Jones before losing 50 pounds herself.
“Probably the Trump stuff was the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child,” O’Donnell said. “It was national, and it was sanctioned societally. Whether I deserved it is up to your own interpretation.”
Trump responded in kind on Twitter by reminding her that, in his eyes, she started their tiff.
.@Rosie—No offense, and good luck on the new show, but remember, you started it! http://t.co/Ag3TyZZxOh

When O’Donnell left “The View” again in February 2015, Trump voiced his lack of surprise at the development.
“Well, it’s very sad what’s happened to ‘The View,’ and I predicted that with Rosie O’Donnell it would fail,” he said. “I guess the prediction is correct, but, I mean she’s a total train wreck, so let’s see what happens and I hope it works out well … I like the show a lot, but let’s face it, Rosie is a loser.”
Fast forward to August 2015 and the first Republican presidential debate. Debate moderator Megyn Kelly asked Trump, now the favorite in the GOP field, about his history of calling women “fat pigs,” “dogs,” “slobs” and “disgusting animals.” Without missing a beat, Trump interrupted Kelly to say: “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

To which O’Donnell responded on Twitter:
Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell have often made their feelings about each other public, taking to Twitter to blas… in Politics on LockerDome
