Clinton confronted with her husband’s rape allegations

Hillary Clinton was confronted Thursday by a voter concerned about the rape allegations against the candidate’s husband, former President Bill Clinton.

“You recently came out to say that all rape victims should be believed,” an audience member said to Clinton following her speech in New Hampshire. “But would you say that about Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and/or Paula Jones? Should we believe them as well?”

All three women mentioned have previously claimed that Bill Clinton sexually assaulted them in some way. Jones sued the president for sexual harassment in 1994, Willey claimed that Clinton assaulted her in 1993, and in 1999, Broaddrick accused Clinton of raping her in the 1970s.

Clinton remained stoic throughout the question and curtly responded, “Well, I would say that everybody should be believed at first until they are disbelieved based on evidence.”

The Democratic front-runner has laid out a proposal to curb sexual assault on college campuses and often speaks out in support of women who have endured such atrocities. She has never commented on the accusations against her husband on the campaign trail before.
