Demi Moore talks human trafficking, overdoes ‘Hill’ look

In oversized black frames and a brown bateau-neck dress, Demi Moore was wearing her finest nerd chic on Capitol Hill on Tuesday to talk human trafficking.

Moore joined three human trafficking survivors along with Rep. Christopher Smith, R-N.J., in a passionate, yet shaky, delivery on the need for resources and legislative reform on the issue.

Halfway through her speech, Moore loosened up when the bells for the vote chimed in the House room.

“Do I need to answer it?” she asked, giggling. “Are you sure? I feel like I need to answer it.”

Moore recovered from the disturbance and went on, finishing her speech with, “We live in one of the greatest countries in the world. It is based on being the land of the free, and I’d like to see that become a reality.”
