Coulter’s Twitter rant on GOP’s Israel comments

Columnist Ann Coulter went on a Twitter rant against several Republican presidential candidates after they said they supported Israel in their closing comments during Wednesday night’s debate.

“How many f—ing Jews do these people think there are in the United States?” she tweeted. She followed that with, “Maybe it is to suck up to the evangelicals.”

Coulter’s comments followed comments by Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Ted Cruz, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., expressing support for Israel, and opposition to President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.

Other tweets on the subject by Coulter included: “Good grief! Huckabee is running for PM of Israel,” “Christie also talks @ Israel in response to the question: What will AMERICA look like after you are president?” and “How to get applause from GOP donors: 1) Pledge to start a war 2) Talk about job creators 3) Denounce abortion 4) Cite Reagan 5) Cite Israel.”

Coulter, who has a long career as a right-wing provocateur, has been one of Donald Trump’s biggest boosters among conservative punditry, in part because she shares his anti-immigration views. She introduced him at a rally in Dubuque last month, stating that he was proof that “God hasn’t given up on America yet.”
