This week Jill Biden was spotted at Georgetown’s Sassanova hunting for a pair of low wedges, which range from $100 to $300 a pop. Biden, a regular at the store, usually opts for high heels, but was looking for a more practical, albeit pricey, pair of shoes for her upcoming trip to Egypt, Kenya and South Africa.
She was seen there Tuesday with her two daughters-in-law and a grandchild. A Sassanova source wouldn’t divulge how much the second lady spent, but said she paid with plastic.
Biden’s spokesperson didn’t respond to a call for comment.
