Donald Trump hopes to run against Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton in the general election and should he win, the leading GOP candidate plans to appoint justices to the Supreme Court look who would “look very seriously” at Clinton’s scandals.
“I would probably appoint people that would look very seriously at her email disaster because it’s a criminal activity and I would appoint people that would look very seriously at that,” Trump said Wednesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” when asked to respond to a comment made by Clinton earlier this week when she encouraged voters to consider “what kind of justice would a President Trump appoint?”
“What she’s getting away with is absolutely murder,” Trump added Wednesday.
A federal judge ruled Tuesday that Judicial Watch, a conservative government watchdog group, should be granted further access to records and depositions involving officials at the State Department in relation to Clinton’s home-brew email server and the 2012 attacks in Benghazi.
Trump described the current FBI investigation into Clinton’s email server as “a real case,” and said Wednesday, “If she’s able to get away with that, you can get away with anything.”
The New York billionaire has previously said Clinton is “an embarrassment to our country.”
Just before Trump joined “Good Morning America” Wednesday morning, the Clinton campaign released their first ad attacking the real estate mogul in his home state.
“This is New York. And we know better,” the ad says, while footage of violence at a Trump rally plays onscreen.
