FLOTUS gets some help in L.A.

First lady Michelle Obama got a little help from the entertainment industry, as Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer — stars from the Academy Award-nominated movie, “The Help” —  joined her on Wednesday for a fundraising luncheon to support President Obama‘s reelection effort. Tickets for the luncheon — hosted by Pauletta Washington (wife of Denzel Washington) and LaTanya Richardson Jackson (wife of actor Samuel Jackson) — ran from $10,000 (for a photo and meet-and-greet) to $35,800 (for a photo and lunch), with the event drawing 250 attendees. Also breaking bread with Michelle were Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and a host of other celebs including Melanie Griffith, Eva Longoria, Angela Bassett, Courtney B. Vance and Cookie Johnson.
