For the record, state dinner guest chef Rick Bayless was not tweeting from the White House kitchen. Again, he was not tweeting from the White House.
Bayless took offense to a story saying he did just that, penned by Chicago Sun-Times columnist Lynn Sweet, and started a brief Twitter war with her Tuesday night.
“I NEVER Tweet from WH, which I KNOW is not permitted. Apology?” Bayless said.
In an updated story Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times columnist clarified her original report.
This comes after Yeas & Nays and other media outlets reported that Bayless had gone rogue, doing several interviews in advance of the event and tweeting details about the menu.
