Vice President Joe Biden was at Pete’s Apizza in Columbia Heights Friday night having dinner with his grandchildren, a Yeas & Nays spy reports. Biden visited the local pizza chain around 6 p.m. Then on Saturday, first lady Michelle Obama and the first daughters slipped away after Sasha Obama’s morning basketball game to grab lunch at the brand new downtown eatery, the Hamilton. We’re told the group, which consisted of the first lady, Sasha and Malia, and another woman, sat in the small semiprivate room in the arboretum while the dining room remained open. (Secret Service used security wands to check all the customers and wait staff before the first lady entered the room.) The group ordered fried chicken and biscuits, a bento box, edamame, white bean soup and several other dishes.
