Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush thinks Donald Trump has moved closer to the right direction as the presidential campaign has moved into October. Bush reportedly told Fox Sports 1’s Clay Travis that Trump was making much needed progress. He said he would vote for Trump if he became the GOP nominee.
“I’m a conservative, I know Hillary isn’t,” Bush said. “That’s one thing we know for sure. It’s not to say that she’s not capable of being president, but I think her world view is not the right one. And Trump’s views are evolving, at least, towards the right place.”
Bush, who ranks sixth in the Washington Examiner‘s most recent power rankings, also praised Trump for bringing an unprecedented amount of attention to the presidential campaign. “I’ll give him credit for one big thing, which is really important: Twenty-five million people watched the first debate and 23 million watched the second, and that’s extraordinary,” Bush said. “Those numbers are a lot to do with him and the interest that he’s brought to the campaign.”
Clips from Bush’s interview are expected to be made public in advance of Friday, when the full interview with Fox Sports 1 will air, according to Politico.
