Want to battle zombie versions of Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck and the Koch brothers? Now you can, by playing a new online video game targeting those and other Tea Party favorites, including Fox News hosts Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity. The game, “Tea Party Zombies Must Die,” was described as “a personal project” by developer Jason Oda, who in 2004 also released another politically-charged game pitting players against members of the Bush administration.
The blogosphere isn’t letting this game go unnoticed though, as some are worried that it may lead to a rash of violence against Tea Party members. “Liars in the world of entertainment will tell you that what happens on screen has no real-world effect. Which is why corporations spend billions every year using visual mediums to get people to change their behavior,” wrote BigGovernment.com’s John Nolte, claiming that the game serves as evidence that leftists embrace violence in political discourse, and Townhall’s Guy Benson described the game as proof that Tea Party opponants demonstrate “selective civility” in politics.
