Let’s file this one under not-surprising-whatsoever. Michael Lohan called into the Tommy Show on Fresh FM 94.7 Thursday morning and told listeners that Tareq Salahi had ripped him off. Lohan explained that Tareq wanted to stay near his wife Michaele during her brief stint on Dr. Drew‘s “Celebrity Rehab,” so Lohan allowed Tareq to stay at his $2,500-a-month apartment for only $1,500. He was never paid. “It was really wrong what they did,” Lohan said.
UPDATE: Salahi denied the allegations when we reached out to him, saying the apartment did not belong to Lohan and that he only stayed in it for three days. He also produced what he said was a hand-written note from Lohan, which Salahi believed got him off the hook for having to pay rent. “This is when a note is worth more than $1,500 of words,” Salahi said. The note gives the address of the apartment and also which keys went with which door and does not mention anything about money.
