Wharton teams up with Capital Area Food Bank

Celebrity stylist and “Real Housewives of D.C.” cast member Paul Wharton can add another title to his resume: Capital Area Food Bank’s Ambassador Against Hunger.

Wharton, who has lent his name to support several nonprofits in town, tells us making sure children in the D.C. community don’t go to bed hungry is his focus.

“This is a crisis that we have to power to fix in the community. I plan to use my use my resources, my friends, my corporate connections here in D.C. to help raise awareness and money so that we put an end to this epidemic,” he said.

Wharton will officially kick off his battle against hunger with a press conference and tour at the Capital Area Food Bank on Thursday morning.

Last year the food bank provided people with 27 million pounds of food. Wharton tells us this year his goal is to top that.

“I want to show people we can deliver over 30 million pounds.”
