Trump’s boyhood home fetches over $2 million

A New York real estate developer has flipped President Trump’s boyhood home for a 50 percent profit.

The Queens home recently sold for $2.14 million, after being purchased at auction for $1.39 million, the New York Post reported.

Manhattan real estate developer Michael Davis purchased the home from Parammount Realty USA in December shortly after Trump won the White House. Trump had expressed an interest in buying his old home while on the campaign trail, which his father Fred Trump built just after the start of World War II.

“That’s it, that’s where I was born … I want to buy it, I want to buy it,” Trump told late-night host Jimmy Fallon in September.

The Jamaica Estates property is a Tudor-style home and is listed as the home address on Trump’s birth certificate.

“This property is so much more than just real estate; it’s the childhood home of the 45th president of the United States, and it’s a part of history,” Misha Haghani, principal of Paramount Realty USA told the New York Post.

The average asking price for a similar home in the neighborhood is roughly $979,400, according to Haghani.
