Huntsman hoping comedy can save him

Looks like former Utah governor Jon Huntsman is hoping late-night comedy show appearances will help him gain popularity in order to survive the upcoming primaries. Fresh on the heels of his stint on “Saturday Night Live,” the GOP presidential candidate has scheduled another prime-time appearance on CBS’s “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Fellow contenders Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry have also made the comedy rounds. The show will air Dec. 21.
