Perhaps driven mad by sleep depravation, comedian Stephen Colbert went on a tangent Tuesday night about “big-government chrono-Nazis and their ‘daylight savings,'” equating daylight savings time with “Barack Obama stealing an hour of my life to redistribute it to poor people.” Although we get that hour back in the fall, Colbert piggy-backed on the time-change-socialism idea, pointing out that, “They say you get your daylight savings hour back in the fall, but who’s earning the interest on that hour in the meantime? The unions, that’s who.”
