The summer fun is over, and some of you already may feel the fall stress creeping on the horizon.
And it’s no wonder. According to Portfolio.com/bizjournals’ “U.S. Uncovered” study, Washington, D.C., ranks No. 15 for the most stressful cities to live and work in the country.
Portfolio.com used a number of “pull your hair out” factors to determine where cities rank. Crime rates, cost of living, unemployment numbers, commute time, mortgage rates, health and environmental risks and even the amount of sunshine folks are exposed to all played a role in calculating the level of stress of each metropolitan area.
Detroit leads the country at No. 1, mostly because of the high unemployment numbers there, while the lazy town of Salt Lake City comes in last at No. 50.
Slackers.
