Sen. Orrin Hatch celebrated President Ronald Reagan’s 104th birthday Friday with a fairly epic humblebrag.
The office of the Utah Republican tweeted a picture of a telegram sent by Reagan’s office confirming his endorsement of Hatch in the 1976 Utah Republican Senate primary. Hatch was the only Republican to receive a Reagan endorsement before a primary, Hatch claimed in a 2014 speech at the Reagan ranch.
“THIS IS RONALD REAGAN ASKING YOU TO ELECT ORRIN HATCH TO THE UNITED STATES SENATE,” said the telegram.
