‘Johnny’ to testify in Hunter trial

Get ready for a showdown in the case of Rielle Hunter v. Andrew Young.

A major player has been called into the case to testify (no pun intended).

Two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is set to submit a sworn deposition May 13 in the case pitting Hunter, his mistress and mother of his love child, against his former campaign staffer.

Hunter filed an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit in January against Young for taking a sex tape and pictures of Edwards with baby Quinn from the house Young rented for her, according to WRAL in Raleigh, N.C.

Young responded just last week asking that the case be dismissed because Hunter keeps canceling depositions.

Young also requested the proceedings remain open to the public (to increase book sales?), pointing out that he and his wife had to testify publicly before giving up the sex tape.
