Big GOP names in on CNN debate

CNN just released their lineup of participants in their first New Hampshire debate for the 2012 election, which will be held on the campus of Saint Anselm College June 13, and broadcast live from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in New Hampshire and across the country.

So far, seven Republicans are slated to slug it out with one another on issues ranging from the economy to the war in Afghanistan – including Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, businessman Herman Cain, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum – at an event sponsored by CNN, WMUR and the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Invitations to participate also went out to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman and businessman Donald Trump, but not all are interested. Daniels, Huckabee and Trump have all publicly said they would not seek the Republican presidential nomination, and Giuliani and Huntsman both declined the debate invitation.
