Fiorina: Terrorists ‘delighted’ by Obama’s focus on climate change

Carly Fiorina claims President Obama’s commitment to addressing global warming is likely well-received within terrorist organizations like the Islamic State.

“The terrorists are absolutely delighted that our president is so delusional that instead of fighting ISIS, he’s talking about climate change,” the Republican presidential contender said Tuesday on “The Laura Ingraham Show.”

“His passion comes when he’s talking about climate change. He has no passion when he’s talking about defeating our real enemy, which is [the Islamic State],” Fiorina added, noting that she watched Obama’s press conference Tuesday morning at the United Nations’ climate conference in Paris.

Citing Obama’s now-infamous comment, made during the 2008 presidential election cycle, that rural voters “cling to guns or religion,” Fiorina also said the president exudes more passion when discussing gun safety legislation and Planned Parenthood.

“It’s our guns and our religion, remember that?” the former Hewlett-Packard CEO said. “He’s never really changed, and he continues to blame us for all kinds of things.”

Fiorina, who holds the No. 9 spot in the latest Washington Examiner presidential power rankings, has also slammed Obama for his claim that the UN’s climate change summit is a “powerful rebuke” to terrorism.

“No, it’s not,” Fiorina said Sunday on Fox News. “President Obama is delusional about this. He’s delusional about the threat, which apparently is why he won’t do anything about it.”

“The terrorists don’t care that we’re gathering in Paris other than it provides a target,” she added.
