Poll: Rubio may be on the move in New Hampshire

A new poll shows Sen. Marco Rubio may be surging in New Hampshire, although the poll has a huge margin of error of nearly 7 percent.

Still, Rubio’s camp will likely be cheered by the poll’s finding that he’s now in second place with 18 percent, 11 points behind Donald Trump’s 29 percent, according to a CNN/WMUR poll.

If accurate, the poll would seem to show some momentum for Rubio after his strong third place showing in Iowa, right behind Trump.

The same poll last week showed Rubio with 11 percent.

The new poll shows that Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush also got a boost from the high single digits to the low double digits. Kasich, who said he’d be toast in the 2016 race without a good showing in New Hampshire, jumped from nine to 12 percent, with Bush moving up from six to 10 percent.

Despite his recent tough talk against Rubio as he tries to make his mark in the race, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie experienced the biggest fall of anyone by pulling only four percent, half of his total from CNN’s previous poll last week.
