Bill Clinton gave an indirect response Monday when asked about Donald Trump’s recent claim that his sexual history is “fair game” during the election cycle.
“Republicans have to decide who they want to nominate,” the former president told ABC’s Cecilia Vega following his first solo campaign event for his wife, Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.
“I’m trying to tell the Democrats in the country why I think Hillary would be the best president. I think there’s always attempts to take the election away from the people, so I’m just going to give it to them,” he added.
Earlier Monday, during an appearance on CNN, Trump repeated his claim that Clinton is “one of the greatest abusers of all time.”
