Salma Hayek weighed in on the 2016 presidential election during her late night interview Tuesday on ABC, admitting Donald Trump’s campaign epitomized “madness.”
The Mexican-American actress was initially hesitant to criticize the GOP front-runner for comments he made in his June announcement condemning illegal immigrants from Mexico.
But the Hollywood movie star said her issue was not with Trump, but his supporters.
“You don’t need to talk sense into him,” Hayek said during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “Everybody’s entitled to their own madness. You need to talk sense into the people that are not seeing the madness.”
Hayek backed Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in October, but did not mention her endorsement during the Tuesday interview.
