After endorsing Bernie Sanders for president, actor Will Ferrell apparently took a cue from one of his characters, news anchor Ron Burgundy in “Anchorman,” who said: “I immediately regret this decision.”
As voters in Nevada participate in the Democratic caucus on Saturday, Hillary Clinton’s campaign tweeted out a video of the Hollywood star urging passersby to vote for the former secretary of state.
“11 a.m., pass the word. Caucus for Hillary, okay?” Ferrell told voters as he hung out with former president Bill Clinton, Hillary husband.
True to comedic form, Ferrell lauched a quest for a cup of chocolate custard yogurt.
“11 a.m. It’s really important that everyone show up to caucus,” Ferrell said. “Amazing turn out. Amazing chocolate custard yogurt here.”
Sanders’ campaign had reportedly had Ferrell listed as a celebrity endorsement on its website. His name is no longer on the list, though his “Step Brothers” co-star John C. Reilly, is still “feeling the Bern” and remains on the list.
