CNN anchor Anderson Cooper gets the highest marks of all the upcoming presidential debate moderators, according to a new poll of registered voters.
The Morning Consult poll, conducted last week, asked responders for their opinion on each of the moderators, which included ABC’s Martha Raddatz, who will co-moderate the second debate with Cooper, NBC’s Lester Holt and Fox News’s Chris Wallace.
Cooper got the highest rating, as 58 percent said they view him very or somewhat favorably. Holt, who will moderate the second debate, got 47 percent. Wallace got 45 percent and Raddatz received 29 percent.
Asked who they thought would be the “least biased” of the moderators, Cooper also got the highest rating at 22 percent, though the largest group of people, 38 percent, said they didn’t know or had no opinion.
The first debate, the one moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt, takes place next Monday.
