The Georgetown Cupcake sisters Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne are taking their cupcake making skills down the street and hosting a Halloween cupcake decorating class this Sunday at the Georgetown Ritz-Carlton.
The ladies, who star in TLC’s “D.C. Cupcakes,” will help each participant frost, decorate and gift wrap a set of cupcakes, featuring the shop’s favorite flavors. (We’re betting they’ll help attendees perfect that famous Georgetown Cupcake swirled icing design, too). The Ritz will be serving mini Georgetown Cupcakes and some hot autumn beverages throughout the class, which runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the new Fahrenheit Ballroom. Hands on attention from the gals doesn’t come cheap — the class costs $65.
Kallinis and LaMontagne have partnered with the Ritz since their popular cupcakery opened and started holding classes at the hotel last fall. Two more holiday cupcake decorating classes are scheduled for December 4 and Demember 18 as well.
