An eighth body was pulled from the wreckage of Tuesday’s deadly Amtrak crash.
According to Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer, a search dog found the body in the mangled first car Thursday morning. The victim has not been identified.
The death count now stands at eight, which means, according to Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, all 243 passengers have been accounted for.
Six of the deceased passengers have been identified by authorities, friends or family.
More than 200 people were injured, with many critically injured still being treated.
The train, which left Washington’s Union Station Tuesday night and derailed near Philadelphia around 9:30 p.m., was going 106 mph before the derailment, federal investigators have found. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
