DNC attacks Jeb Bush on the Iraq War

The Democratic National Committee released a video Monday attacking likely 2016 Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush for saying he would have invaded Iraq based on the available intelligence.

Asked if he still would have authorized the invasion of Iraq knowing what we know now, Bush, the former governor of Florida, is shown replying, “I would have.” The DNC video cuts off Bush’s response before he notes Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton’s support for the Iraq War.

The spot begins with George W. Bush saying, “Fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me, you can’t get fooled again.” Jeb Bush is then shown affirming that he loves his father and brother but is his own man.

The video continues to link the two Bush brothers and replay commentary about the missing weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, emphasizing the “you can’t get fooled again” theme.

Jeb Bush made the comments in an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
