Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina reprimanded Donald Trump’s desire to avoid future debates.
Fiorina, who endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz earlier this week, told a gathering of reporters it’s obvious why Trump has said he does not think future debates are necessary.
“Of course Donald Trump thinks there have been too many debates because the more he debates, the more clear it becomes that Ted Cruz has substance and solutions from which he has never strayed,” Fiorina said. “He has never talked about spray tans or body parts or personal insults. He has stayed on the substance every step of the way.”
Flanked by Cruz at a press gaggle in Florida, Fiorina said she believes the race has become a one-on-one matchup between Trump and Cruz.
“Man up, Donald,” she said. “Come out and debate Ted Cruz.”
