Hillary Clinton left a ceremony commemorating the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11 early on Sunday after suffering from a minor medical episode, according to multiple reports.
“Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen,” Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement shortly after Fox News first reported the incident.
“During this ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better,” he added.
Law enforcement officials at the ceremony told Fox News that Clinton was seen stumbling off a curb shortly before her security detail helped her into a vehicle. It is unclear whether the former secretary of state fainted, as some reports have suggested.
Clinton faced questions about her health last weekend after she suffered from a coughing fit that lasted nearly two minutes during a campaign rally in Ohio.
