Trump: Kasich is a nobody

Donald Trump slammed Republican rival John Kasich as someone nobody knows just two days before New York’s primary.

Speaking on Staten Island on Sunday, Trump said the Ohio governor is “interesting” because he’s never faced a negative commercial.

“Nobody’s ever hit him. Nobody knows he’s there, and so he does well. He does okay,” Trump said. “Because nobody talks about him.”

Trump also hit Ted Cruz, who he said won’t get any support making a comment condemning “New York values.”

“I can’t imagine any New Yorker voting for Cruz,” Trump said.

Many people he said they are voting in this election “for me,” Trump added. “They didn’t come out for Lyin’ Ted Cruz. They didn’t come out for Kasich — they didn’t know who Kasich is. Nobody does.”

A RealClearPolitics average of polls shows Trump on top with 52.2 percent support in the Empire State, followed by Kasich at 23.2 percent and Cruz in last with 17.8 percent.
