Jon Stewart mocks ‘scared’ Democrats too afraid to challenge Hillary Clinton

Jon Stewart had some laughs at the Democrats’ expense Thursday night.

On his show, “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart broke down the 2016 “invisible primary” and chastised Democrats for being “scared” to challenge frontrunner former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Clinton “seems to be in a tight race with ‘Senator Nobody’ and ‘Governor Bupkis,’ ” Stewart said, laughing that “not a single Democrat wants to pursue the nomination on the off chance Hillary may throw her hat in the ring.”

Stewart then showed footage of actor Mark Ruffalo hiding somewhere — probably his home — encouraging Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren to run.

People are so “scared of Hillary’s candidacy,” Stewart added, “Even people who would like to field a challenger for the nomination will only speak from a secret location.”
