Fewer Congressional websites flunk the internet

Sure, their approval ratings may be sinking, but members of Congress are getting better grades in one area — the web. Overall, members’ websites are looking and working better, according to the Congressional Management Foundation.

In a new report, the nonprofit organization found that of the 618 congressional websites the CFC graded, the most common grade has moved from an F in the 111th Congress to a B in the current Congress. Looking at such things as readability, navigation, issues information, and timeliness, the CFC found that House websites saw some improvement. Senate websites, on the other hand, actually saw a small decline.

Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska, and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., will receive Platinum Mouse Awards for their websites, along with the House Education and Workforce Committee, for the top committee site, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, for the best leadership website.
