Donald Trump reacted to his campaign manager being charged with battering a reporter by asking if he could press charges against the reporter for touching him.

Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was arrested Tuesday morning for misdemeanor battery in relation to an incident that occurred earlier this month between him and ex-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields.

About an hour after news broke of the arrest, Trump took to Twitter to dismiss a video obtained by police that showed Lewandowski grabbing Fields’ arm during a press conference in early March.

Now, Trump is criticizing Fields’ behavior after the press conference.

“Victory press conference was over. Why is she allowed to grab me and shout questions? Can I press charges?” he tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

“Why is this reporter touching me as I leave the press conference?” Trump asked. “What is in her hand???”

The Republican presidential front-runner also sent out a tweet containing Fields’ original statement about the incident, suggesting she has since changed her story.

“This was the reporters statement— when she found out there was tape from my facility, she changed her tune,” he tweeted.

Lewandowski has yet to speak out about the charges.
