Michael Steele joins MSNBC roster

In what will be his first big gig since leaving the Republican National Committee, former chairman Michael Steele has officially joined MSNBC. On Monday, Steele was named a political analyst for the left-leaning cable network.

Steele, known for his colorful quotes and Biden-like gaffes, has stayed in the public eye since leaving his RNC job, including appearing on a popular segment of “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart where he was interviewed alongside his blue-felt doppelganger, Puppet Micheal Steele.

“It’s an honor to contribute and engage in the dialogue on MSNBC,” Steele said in a statement. “I look forward to engaging a diverse audience to share insights and analysis about the people, issues and events shaping America’s future. I’m sure our discussions will be both informative and a bit spirited,” he added.
