Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he’s not looking to run for president in 2016, contrary to Jon Stewart’s insistence that the 2012 Republican National Convention is actually a roll-out for a future Bush campaign. (“RNC 2012: The Road to Jeb Bush.”)
“I’m not there in my life,” Bush told David Gregory on “Meet the Press” on Sunday. He acknowledged that the ending of his tenure as governor and his age would have made 2012 “a good time to run…but it wasn’t the right time for me.”
Bush said he’s excited to support Mitt Romney and making John Stewart “awfully upset.”
