Trump on women attack ad: It’s ‘sour grapes’

Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed a campaign ad introduced Monday that uses his past remarks about women, and chalked it up to “sour grapes.”

“It’s a lot of sour grapes,” the Republican presidential front-runner told host George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Tuesday morning. “If you look at the women’s polling leaving the booths, I’m leading by a lot.”

“We’re doing very well with women and I’m very happy about it. I’m doing very well with women and with men and with [the] educated and with military and vets. We’re doing well in every category,” Trump added.

Trump then took aim at the 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney for having a role in the ad.

“I have seen it and it was [a] Romney deal, you know, who ran one of the worst races in the history of American politics,” he said of the former Republican Massachusetts governor. “He should have easily beaten the failed president in Obama.”

On Monday, Our Principles PAC released an ad featuring women reciting past remarks of his, such as listing him calling women “bimbo” and “fat pig.”
