While Melania Trump continues to face backlash from designers who refuse to dress her, she’s feeling the love from her home country of Slovenia.
Winemakers from Trump’s hometown of Sevnica are honoring the first lady with her own red wine blend called, “First Lady,” according to Decanter magazine.
As the Trump brand has faced boycotts in the United States, “First Lady” wine has become wildly popular in Slovenia. First sold at Sevnica Castle, a popular tourist destination, its first 300 bottles sold out in just three days. The castle’s gift shop is now stocked with 2,000 bottles of the wine and it is also available in the town’s tourism office.
At nearly $27.50 euros (roughly $30), it is going for double the price of similar wines the same region and year.
