Losing the leotard, and donning a dapper suit instead, fitness guru Richard Simmons still was easily spotted on Capitol Hill on Thursday. When our spy caught up with him, Simmons had crashed a choral group’s performance of “God Bless America” outside the U.S. Capitol building and was singing along with students who were wearing Harry Potteresque uniforms.
Sporting purple, Simmons definitely stuck out. Simmons wasn’t just causing a scene, he was there on official Hill business as well, attending a news conference for the Fitness Integrated With Teaching Act.
