Golf may be the one thing President Obama is winning at as of late — if that.
NBA legend Michael Jordan called Obama a “hack” golfer last month, and the president is now making it into a joke.
“Mike and I, we know each other but I’ve never played golf with him,” Obama told Wisconsin radio station WJMR Monday night, according to TMZ.
Obama may want to hold on to his golf game — Democrats lost big in this year’s midterm elections.
“Yeah, don’t worry about it. I never said he wasn’t a great politician, I’m just saying he’s a sh—y golfer,” the Bulls legend and avid golfer said in a recent interview on the Back 9 Network with Ahmad Rashad when describing who would be part of his ideal foursome.
“Michael wasn’t very well informed about this, I think he might’ve just been trying to give Ahmad an extra ratings boost on his show,” Obama replied when asked about the comments on the radio station. “But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am. Of course, if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case,” he said.
“He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats — or the Hornets,” the president fired back.
Jordan owns the Charlotte Hornets, which are sitting at 1-3.
