Trump lets Romney have it in new ad

Donald Trump released a video late Wednesday that hits back at Mitt Romney for all the attacks the unsuccessful 2012 presidential nominee has made against the GOP front-runner.

The minute-long “Mitt Romney Not Conservative” video is a compilation of TV hits by the former Massachusetts governor that showcases his remarks on amnesty, Obamacare, abortion, bailouts and global warming.

The digital piece comes a day after a former Romney campaign staffer announced an anti-Trump ad that charges the billionaire is not an authentic conservative.

Romney has been increasingly critical of Trump’s campaign in the week leading up to Super Tuesday, but Trump’s responses up until now have been relatively subdued. Trump posted the video on his Facebook page and also tweeted out the link.

The self-funded billionaire later bashed Romney on Twitter, calling him a “two-time failed candidate” and “not a good messenger” for telling Republicans how to get elected.

Trump’s campaign team has not indicated whether the video will run nationally, in local markets or just on social media platforms. He is ranked first in the Washington Examiner’s latest presidential power rankings.
