New York golf courses turned Obama down

President Obama was turned down by several top golf courses in New York over Labor Day weekend that didn’t want to deal with the hassle of a presidential visit.

Club managers at the Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot Golf Club and the Willow Ridge Golf Course, among other elite courses, rebuffed the president’s request to tee off there, according to NBC New York.

The courses did not want to inconvenience their elite customers by shutting down to accommodate the president.

Clubs were given just a day or two notice to fill the request, according to sources. Fairview Country Club in Greenwich was the only club that would have accommodated him, a spokesman said.
