CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, special assistant to the president Gayle Smith and actress Ali Larter embraced their inner woman as they belted out the words of Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” with South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka on Tuesday night.
The group gathered at the Newseum for the debut of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Global Health Alliance, a worldwide effort to end women’s cancers. The group is spearheaded by the well-known cancer organization.
Spotted at the event: Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker (the founder and chief executive officer of Susan G. Komen for the Cure), actresses Rachael Leigh Cook and Jennifer Beals, Sen. Joe Lieberman and his wife, Hadassah, as well as other ambassadors and first ladies from around the world.
Yeas & Nays caught up with Cook to talk women’s rights, celebrity advocacy and her time working on the Obama campaign. “I do kind of have a values crush on him,” Cook said of Obama. “If that exists.”
