Adam Mansbach, the author behind the profanity-filled children’s book that’s really for adults, is making a stop in D.C. at the end of the month. Mansbach penned the best-selling “Go the F— to Sleep,” which has become a sort of anthem for frustrated parents with stanzas like this: “All the kids from daycare are in dreamland. The froggie has made his last leap. H— no, you can’t go to the bathroom. You know where you can go? The f— to sleep.”
Mansbach will make an appearance at the K Street eatery P.J. Clarke’s on July 27. The evening will begin with an invite-only fete at the downstairs Sidecar bar and end upstairs in the main restaurant, where Mansbach will give a public reading and sign books from 6 to 8 p.m. Books will also be sold at the event.
