Here are states with their own Iran sanctions

No matter what happens with the Obama administration’s proposed nuclear deal with Iran, many U.S. states have their own sanctions on Iran that they plan to keep in place.

Roughly two dozen states have measures that punish Iranian companies seeking to do business locally. These sanctions could become a complication as the U.S. tries to normalize its relationship with Iran. The United States and Iran indicated last week that there are still wide differences over how and when sanctions on the Shiite theocracy would be lifted even if multilateral negotiations ended in an agreement to halt Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
