Delaware Sen. Chris Coons, a Democrat, held onto his Senate seat against Republican challenger Kevin Wade, according to the Associated Press.
Coons, the state’s junior senator, won his first term in 2010, when he defeated Republican Christine O’Donnell, a Tea Party candidate who unexpectedly ousted longtime GOP Rep. Mike Castle in the primary.
